Westward the Tide

L'Amour's first novel (in book form) WESTWARD THE TIDE was first published in 1950 by The World's Work, a british publisher, as part of "The Master Thriller Western Series" and was not released in the United States until the 1977 paperback release by Bantam Books.

NOTE: This book is extremly rare. I was lucky enough to locate and purchase the book shown from a book seller in South Africa. I have not yet located one with the original dustjacket.

NOTE: As you can see in the top photo above, I finally found and purchased a second copy of Westward the Tide, this book has the remnants of the original dustjacket. It is an ex-library copy, and it seems that someone at the library decided to cut out the front cover of the dustjacket and glue it on to the front of the book.  Probably not in the nicest of condition, but it is the only one I have ever seen (or heard of) with the original cover art. This one was purchased from a seller in Australia.
