tales unavailable in any other form" the book contains
two short stories that were previously published in magazines.
1) "That Man From The Bitter Sands" was originally published in MALE September 1954 as "Man from the Bitter Sands" and later reprinted in
MEN January 1958 as "Showdown in Box Canyon"
2) "RAIN ON THE HALFMOON" was originally published in the Canadian publication LIBERTY October 1954 under the title "Murder at Dry Creek".
