NOTE: This story was filmed as the 1957 MAVERICK television episode #6 "Stage West" This episode
can be found on VHS tape. Also of note is that the tv episode "Stage West" was published in comic book form as Maverick #945
by Dell Comics in 1958. The comic does not include L'Amour's name as a contributor, but it is indeed based on the television
episode.
