Exciting Western magazine ran for a total of 76 issues between the Fall of 1940 - October 1953 The
start of this run is a bit confusing, some of the early issues were published quarterly, some bi-monthly. There are two
Winter 1941 issues, the first of these is dated "Winter 1941" on the spine and in large print at top of the index
page, but is dated December 1940 in small print on the bottom of the index page. The second of these is dated
December 1941 in small print on the bottom of the index page (this issue is also commonly known as the Winter 1942 issue)
but there is no year listed on the cover or spine of this issue (the cover and spine simply state "Winter Issue"). The
May 1941 issue has an error on the contents page as vol. 2 #4 it is actually a vol. 2 #1. The magazine was published
